Kargadubu is a tasty sweet which is prepared in Karnataka during festivals and for other occasion.





Ingredients:
For outer layer:
Maida -1 cup
Chiroti rava -1 tblsp
Salt-a pinch
Butter or  Ghee-1 tblsp

Oil-for deep fry

Mix maida with ghee, salt, chiroti rava and make a dough, leave it for 1 hour.

For inner filling(Stuffing):
TurDal 1 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Cardamom 3



Method:
Boil 3 cup of water and add turdal, let turdal boil in water for 15 mins, remove water now & add jaggery to boiled dal, let jaggery melt and turdal absorb its sweet. Make a fine paste of turdal with cardamom which is boiled with jaggery.

Now make small balls from dough and roll them into ovals using rolling pin, As shown in image.





Keep the fine paste of turdal in center of oval.
Apply water or milk to outer circle of the oval and attach both sides(It should not open while deep frying).




Heat oil in kadai and deep fry.
Serve with ghee.





Yummy Kargadubus are ready to eat.
