Sabudana Thalipattu / Thalipeet Recipe

Sabudana Thalipattu or Thalipeet or Soga Seeds Indian bread or Tapioca Indian bread:


Ingredients:

Sabudana- 2 cup
Water
Crushed Peanuts - 1/2 cup
Green Chili - 2
Jeera - 1/2 spoon
chopped coriander - 1/4 cup
Boiled potato - 3



Soak sabudana in water for 30 - 40 min, drain and sprinkle some water and keep it covered.
Add crushed peanut powder, green chilli, salt, jeera, chopped coriander powder and mashed potato, knead well.




Heat griddle, take portion of sabudana mixture with wet hands and spread it over as thin as possible.
Pour oil or ghee around the thalipattu.


 

Flip over when it turns golden color and cook the other side equally.
Sabudana thalipettu is ready to serve with chutney.

Spinach Soup / Palak Soup

 



Ingredients:

1.5 to 2 cups, chopped spinach/palak
¼ cup chopped onions
2-3 garlic, finely chopped
2 cups water
1 or 1.5 tbsp butter
salt and pepper as required
1tsp raw rice








Procedure:
In a pan boil water.
In a boiling water add spinach, rice, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, cloves, black pepper, salt let if cook for 20 min.
After 20 min - drain and let it cool down.
Make a fine paste and recook with the drained water.
Add salt and butter as you taste.

Fresh healthy spinach soup is ready to eat.

Ingredients:
1 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt

8 Small Green Cucumber
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tbs jeera
1/2 of a medium sized Onion, finaly chopped
Salt as per taste
For the Masala:
1/2 to 3/4 cup Grated coconut
2-2.5 tsp Coriander seeds
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
1 tsp Jeera
3 Green Chilies
1tbs masala powder/ sambar pudi
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
2 tsp Ellu / Sesame seeds / Til,
2 tbsp Peanuts
1/4 tsp Tamarind paste
1/2 tsp Powdered Jaggery
1/2 of a medium sized Onion, coarsely chopped

Round Uddina Vade/Vadi is not actually the Uddina Vade which is given in combination with Idly, this is rather a different one but pretty much the same ingredients which is prepared mainly during the Festivals.
